Chris Daniel grew up in central Pennsylvania and has always been a lover of the outdoors. When not in school, he would spend every moment in the mountains or on small limestone streams learning and honing the art of fly fishing.
It wasn't until the age of 23, that he packed up his life and made the big move out west to the little town of West Yellowstone, Montana. He began working at a fly shop and chasing his passion of fishing. During the winter of 2006-2007, Chris fell into the job of a lifetime as a snowmobile guide in Yellowstone National Park. The following Christmas, his mom surprised him with an amazing present, a beginner Nikon DSLR. This is where his passion for photography really took off.
Over the years, his photography hobby eventually turned into a profession. Chris is now a multi-published and award winning photographer. Some of his work can be seen in Montana Outdoors Magazine, Wyoming Wildlife Magazine, Fly Fisherman Magazine as well as numerous instructional fly fishing books.
Chris resides in West Yellowstone with his wife Mindy and their two cats. He works as a fly fishing guide during the summer months and leads wildlife photography trips on snowmobiles into Yellowstone Park during the winter months. Chris is constantly searching the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, as well as traveling the globe, in search of new and exciting photo opportunities. When not working you can find him chasing trout in the waters he loves to call home.
